Ronda Rousey retains at Hell in a Cell

Did you think some busted up ribs would be enough to keep down the Baddest Woman on the Planet?

Me neither.

While this was a better contested match than the one Ronda Rousey had with Alexa Bliss at Summerslam, there was never going to be a change of the RAW Women’s Championship.

Bliss was able to mount much more offence this time round, but it was still not enough to down the former UFC champ.

While the added fight did something to show Bliss in a stronger light this time round, the premature tap to Rousey’s armbar didn’t – let’s at least have the arm straight before the submission comes.

In all the outcome was favourable for both, and effectively closes the door on the rivalry for now.

The direction WWE takes with Rousey will be interesting – her match at the Super Show-Down alongside the Bellas against the Riott Squad is obviously just filler, while we still await her match for Evolution.

An obvious candidate down the road would be a returning Nia Jax – as that feud was far from finished with at Money in the Bank.

Bliss’s charisma and ability on the mic, will make it easy for her transition into any potential story line WWE creative have in store.
