Hell in a Cell: Becky Lynch downs Charlotte

You deserve it. Clap clap clap clap. You deserve it. Clap clap clap clap. You deserve it. Clap clap clap clap.

It was the night Becky Lynch, and the WWE Universe had craved.

The LassKicker was able to beat long-time best friend turned mortal enemy Charlotte Flair and capture the Smackdown Women’s Title.

In arguably the match of the night (Randy Orton v Jeff Hardy a notable contender), the pair showed great chemistry to ebb and flow through the kind of match that has ignited the women’s division.

Trading signatures and finishers for fun, it was a roll-up reversal of a Charlotte spear that eventually got Lynch the three-count.

A smart way of finishing things, this puts Becky back on top of the tree, and keeps Charlotte strong without her tapping.

Rumours had suggested a double turn with Charlotte going heel, but the in-ring confrontation at the close of the match lead to nothing, as what appeared to be a peace offering was snubbed by Lynch who would not have her moment in the spotlight taken away.

This has plenty of legs left in it, and expect the women-only PPV, Evolution, to be the place for the next chapter.
