The former TNA world heavyweight champion has been appearing at NXT Takeover shows and was even filmed speaking to NXT GM William Regal as rumour intensified that he would be signing with the brand.
Those rumours were confirmed this week on NXT as Roode came down to the ring.
He quickly moved to assert himself as the new face of the company and stake his claim as the most exciting talent in NXT.
It shouldn’t now be long before Roode comes face-to-face with current NXT champion and former TNA stablemate Samoa Joe.
