WWE Dune Bash is heading for Dubai on 14-15 April and Arab fans will have a hero to support in the intimidating shape of Egyptian-born Mada Abdelhamid.

“I was always overweight growing up,” explained the former professional basketball player to Sport360. “I was over 140kg at the age of fifteen, because my mum cooked too much good, Egyptian food!

“Now I train at least five or six hours a day and my diet is almost flawless.”

Mada entered the world of wrestling through the WWE’s wrestling reality television show Tough Enough and proved a huge hit with Middle Eastern fans.

“I’m very proud to represent the Arab world in the WWE,” he said. “Sami Zayn is the only other Arab in the WWE right now and we are paving the path for future Arabs in the sport.

“It (the Middle East) is going to be huge for wrestling for years to come.”

Will you be supporting Mada at the WWE Dune Bash? You can buy tickets for the event now at Platinumlist.net.
