Tyron Woodley’s win over Stephen Thompson saw the 34-year-old retain the welterweight championship, and cement his claim as the best welterweight in the world.

Woodley also moved up to No. 8 in the pound-for-pound rankings.

Darren Elkins climbed in the featherweight rankings after his stunning comeback against Mirsad Bektic, but David Teymur’s win over Lando Vannata brought about no change in the lightweight rankings.
