Mark Hughes’ men, who have been in the UAE since last Friday, completed their final training session on Tuesday at the venue situated on the outskirts of Dubai.

The first-team squad rounded off an intensive session with a practice match on one half of the pitch, focusing on retaining ball possession and high pressing.

Afterwards, Sport360 caught up with both Hughes and his assistant Mark Bowen pitch-side.

Both members of the Potters coaching staff hailed the warm weather getaway to Dubai, in what is the team’s fourth visit to the Middle East region in recent years.

The now almost annual trip to more favourable training conditions has certainly benefitted Stoke in the past as the Red and Whites chase another top 10 finish and strong end to the current campaign.

Stoke are departing the UAE on Wednesday and face Tottenham in the Premier League on Sunday.
