UAE wicket-keeper delighted to have had Australia chance

13:56 29/10/2014

Not many people can tell the story that Saqlain Haider can.

A banker for United Bank by trade, Haider only played his first match for the UAE in September after completing the required four years of residency this year.

He has since forced his way into the reckoning for a spot in Aaqib Javed's World Cup squad heading to Australia and New Zealand next year.

Not only that, he has represented Australia against the country of his birth; Pakistan.

Earlier this month, Haider was recommended to the Australians by Javed and he filled in for Brad Haddin on the final day of the Aussies' warm-up match against Pakistan in Sharjah.

Haider impressed and took a sharp catch off the bowling of Nathan Lyon.

Here, he speaks to Sport360 about this once in a lifetime experience, keeping wicket to the likes of Mitchell Johnson and Mitchell Starc.
