Manchester United defender Ashley Young arrived in Milan on Friday to have the first step of his medical at Inter.

The club have formed a new medical process for joining players – the medical is split into two parts, the first is on one day at one location and then the second is at a hospital called Humanitas, in Rozzano just outside Milan, the following day.

Former Chelsea boss, Antonio Conte, is the current coach of the title-chasing side with Young’s former team mates Romeo Lukaku, who moved there from United in the summer, and Alexis Sanchez, on loan, also part of the team.

Young joined Manchester United in 2011, from Aston Villa, and made 192 appearances for the club including 19 goals.
