It was with a heavy heart that Manchester United fans bid him farewell in the summer of 2014 and now, just three seasons later, it’s Juventus’ turn to waive him off with fondness and gratitude.

The 35-year-old made 82 appearances for the Old Lady of Italian football, winning two Serie A titles along the way.
