Laura Massaro justified her tag as the top seed at the PSA World Series Finals by defeating World No 1 Nour El Sherbini in two sets.

The Englishwoman knew from prior experience that being World Champion can present fatigue in the latter part of the season and so it proved here, Massaro winning 12-10, 11-6.
