Last year’s El Gouna International champion Ramy Ashour will take no further part in the 2016 tournament after suffering a hamstring injury in the first round.

The Egyptian had only just returned to the court following a lengthy injury lay off but now looks to have aggravated an old injury that has been hampering him for the past few years.

After walking out after the second game, it is now impossible for Ashour to qualify for the end-of-season Dubai World Series Finals.
