Ireland prop Cian Healy looked back on Monday to his side’s 27-3 over Scotland in their opening game of the Rugby World Cup in Yokohama, Japan on Sunday.

The one-sided victory over their fellow Home Nation put Joe Schmidt’s side on course to top the final Pool A standings, which will likely mean they avoid New Zealand in the quarter-finals.

Ireland could face a tricky test in their next pool match though, when they face Japan in Shizuoka.

Buoyed by a convincing win over Russia in the opening game of the tournament, and backed by their home crowd, Japan will hope they can push the world number two team all the way on Saturday.

Ireland have never lost to Japan though, winning Tests in Shizuoka and Tokyo during their 2017 tour to ‘The Land of the Rising Sun.’
