Dubai’s stunning skyline never ceases to amaze, with the city’s iconic Skydive Dubai helping to provide an incredible view of the Palm Jumeirah, Dubai Marina and further afield.

In CNN’s new Great Big Story, skydiver Jarrett Martin takes to the sky again – in what was just one of over 1,000 jumps he has completed over the course of his career. A quite staggering number.

At the age of 18, the now full-time US-born skydiver was involved in a tragic parachuting accident – leaving him without use of his legs.

Despite this, his passion for scaling new heights and jumping from thousands of feet didn’t diminish – if anything – it only made his love for a sport ingrained in his family even stronger.

And thanks to new and improved adaptations made to skydiving equipment and landing style, the 26-year-old is able to fly higher and freer than ever.

In the video above, watch Jarrett take to the skies from Skydive Dubai and experience one of the most adrenaline fuelled activities in the UAE.

His jump isn’t for the faint-hearted though and if you suffer from acrophobia, get prepared to look away!
