Khawar Siddique is a Project Engineer from Abu Dhabi with a passion for long distance running.

After being bedridden for two months following a car accident in 2013, the 35-year-old discovered his passion for running.

Last month, Siddique took on the ‘world’s toughest foot-race’, the Marathon des Sables, a six-day, 250-kilometre race across the Sahara Desert in Morocco.

In doing so, he became the first Pakistani to attempt it.

Sport360 sat down with the UAE resident after he completed the ultramarathon. Proudly sporting the scarf from MDS around his neck, Siddique tells his story in the video above.
