While the former Sri Lanka star has been pleased with the organisation and the opportunity to play with and against some of the world’s best players he expressed his frustration of playing in front of sparse crowds in Dubai.

The Gemini Arabians wicket-keeper batsman was more confident that bigger crowds await in Sharjah this week and Sangakkara said he was fully behind the tournament’s concept.

He was also vocal in his praise for the tournament’s organisers, saying that they have so far provided a fine environment for Sangakkara and his franchise.
