Barcelona star Lionel Messi was presented with his sixth Golden Boot award on Wednesday after scoring 36 goals for the Catalan side in the last season, better than anyone else in the European top divisions.

The Argentinian beat PSG forward Kylian Mbappe by three goals and became the first player ever to claim the award for three years in a row.

The ceremomy was attended by Messi’s wife Antonella Roccuzzo and the award was handed to him by his children Thiago and Mateo.

When asked about their parenting, the Argentine also revealed that he is often the one disciplining his children.

“In general I am the bad cop. I am the one who tells them off the more. Sometimes a bit too much. But very often they deserve it.”

Messi won his first Golden Boot in the 2009-2010 season and was again Europe’s top scorer in 2011-12 and 2012-2013 seasons.

His personal record his 50 goals score in the 2011-2012 season.
