Gerard Pique is one of football’s best defenders.

A three-time Champions League winner, Pique has made 214 appearances for Barcelona scoring 18 goals.

And with El Clasico just around the corner, it seems the 29-year-old has already started the mind games.

“I don’t recognise it,” he jokes when Real Madrid’s pre-match anthem is played. “To me it is just another anthem, like Atletico’s, like Sevilla’s… which by the way is really beautiful.”

“In the end all clubs have an anthem, and (Real) is one of our biggest rivals, the one that sounds every time we play at the Bernabeu.”

With Real Madrid looking to put an end to Barcelona’s domestic dominance, it is going to take a fine performance to derail the Catalans unbeaten run that stretches back as far as October.
