After beating the All Blacks and Australia, Brian O’Driscoll reflects on his big takeaways from Ireland’s successful November campaign.

The 37-year-old, who retired in 2014 after a glittering career in the green jersey, spoke of the strength of Joe Schmidt’s side as they prepare for the upcoming Six Nations.

“I think we’re in a really good place going into the Six Nations with a real strength in depth,” O’Driscoll said.

“We do have key personnel in certain positions, and we can’t afford to lose one or two of them, but there are other guys. You look at Johnny Sexton not playing against Australia and Paddy Jackson coming in brilliantly.”

“I think our ability to be able to plug players in, where it seems that we’ve lost a really world class player, other guys are coming in and doing a phenomenal job.”
