Australia legend George Gregan has expressed his satisfaction with the way Michael Cheika’s side is currently playing despite recent mixed results.

The Wallabies suffered a whitewash against England in July before losing three of their six Rugby Championship matches.

However, the legendary scrum-half admits confidence is high amongst the team who finish their season against England at Twickenham on Saturday.

He said: “I’m seeing a team who are quite comfortable in how they play. They are evolving and tinkering a few things with their attack in personnel. They are consistent with their selections throughout this tour.”

“I like what I see in terms of variety in their attack, picking the moments in different parts of the field to attack… There is a nice balance in how they are attacking which they didn’t have at the beginning of the year”

“I like what I’ve seen on this tour so far and they’d like to finish the tour on a really positive note and probably put their best performance of the year on against England.”
