UAE Teen Sports & Fitness Awards celebrate youngsters in the country

The Awards showcased the excellent achievements of youth athletes and fit teens in the UAE.

The ceremony and gala dinner featured entertainment from talented students including the award winning DESC Chamber Choir and 4D Circus.

The Awards featured new categories for athletes with disabilities as well awarding coaches and clubs.

It highlighted the inclusiveness of the UAE for athletes of all abilities and the opportunities they have to excel.

The Awards for athletes with disabilities were sponsored by Costa Coffee and presented by Dr. Abdulla Al Karam, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Director General of the KHDA and Patron of the Awards.

“These Awards demonstrated the high level of participation in youth sports and fitness activities across the UAE and the world class quality of the athletes, coaches and facilities,” said Event Director, Ruth Dickinson. “It also reflects the important support from sports councils, federations and education authorities who have created an environment where excellence in youth sports and fitness is possible and clearly achieved.

“Youth sports also needs sponsors and in the UAE, we are fortunate to have organisations who are keen to support youth sports and we would like to thank the Awards partners, in particular, gold sponsors Skechers Middle East who have a real commitment to youth sports and fitness year-round.”

Entries were submitted from schools, clubs and academies across the UAE, as well as federations, associations, facilities, major blue chip organisations supporting youth sport and individual athletes and coaches.
