English teenager Josh Hill became the youngest male to win an official World Golf Ranking event when he triumphed at the Al Ain Open on the MENA Tour in the UAE.

Hill carded a final-round 62 to reach 17-under par for the tournament’s three rounds – at the age of 15 years, six months and 27 days.

Victory saw Hill beat the previous record set by Ryo Ishikawa of Japan, who in 2007 won the tournament aged 15 years and eight months.

Hill finished two shots ahead of fellow Englishman Harry Ellis and said that he would celebrate his victory with a “massive KFC.”
