VIDEO: David Moyes needed more time at Manchester United – Steve Round

13:08 22/10/2015

David Moyes could have succeeded at Manchester United if he was given more time in charge, according to the Scot's former assistant at Old Trafford, Steve Round.

Round, who followed Moyes to the Red Devils from Everton in the summer of 2013, was all too aware that the task of filling Sir Alex Ferguson's boots was great but he believes the coaching duo could have turned it around before their sacking in April 2014.

“We just didn’t quite get enough time," the 44-year-old, who is in Dubai to help run coaching workshops in E-Sports, said.

"I think I saw after about 50 games that Louis van Gaal and David Moyes had a very similar record. Louis has spent a little bit more money and been given a little bit more time and I think they’ll be really successful. They could win the league this year, it could be very close."
