Luis Suarez is set to leave Barcelona as Ronald Koeman looks to navigate exit for one of the club’s best ever strikers

Even though he provided a rare positive by scoring an excellent goal in the Champions League mauling by Bayern Munich, it has been clear for some time now that Luis Suarez is not the force of old.

Now Barcelona have a major decision to make: they can either keep him as a very expensive back-up to unleash from the bench and start every now and then, or sell him for whatever they can raise this summer and recruit a replacement.

Reports from Spain on Monday have suggested that new boss Ronald Koeman has called the Uruguayan to tell him he is not in his plans for next season. The word now is that the club will discuss terminating his contract with several clubs interested in his signature.
