The list of players who have opened the goal-scoring accounts for Barcelona at the start of the year since 2007 is unsurprisingly illustrious, with Xavi, Neymar, and Lionel Messi all featuring.
Messi began 2016 with a bang, scoring a delightful free-kick against derby rivals Espanyol in a Copa del Rey encounter last January, which was also Barcelona’s first goal of the year.
Midfield legend Xavi is on the list twice, as is current Chelsea forward Pedro. Can you guess the others?
