Is it time English football’s top tier gave its players and clubs a rest in the winter?
Lack of recuperation time over the Christmas and New Year period has often been cited as the reason why England fail to perform in major tournaments.
It’s been a topic of discussion for many years but big crowds and the appetite for football from fans over this period suggest it is a good time for football.
