Major League Soccer in the United States experienced a great amount of exposure and promotion after David Beckham joined LA Galaxy.

The presence of a global star in the sport catapulted the MLS to another level.

Since Beckham’s five-year stint stateside, which ended in 2012, the MLS has attracted many other stars from European football, including Andrea Pirlo, Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard.

It is hard to measure exactly Beckham’s overall impact on the MLS but the England legend certainly made a difference to the game we all love.
