Wenger admits Man Utd have bid for Vermaelen

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger admits during the pre-match press conference for Sunday's Community Shield that Premier League rivals Manchetser United have made an offer for club captain Thomas Vermaelen.

The Belgian defender is wanted "by a group" of clubs, claims Wenger before suggesting United is one of them.
