Michael Ballack’s verdict on Chelsea and Bayern Munich new signings Antonio Rudiger and James Rodriguez

Premier League champions Chelsea recently added Germany international Antonio Rudiger to their squad on a five-year contract.

Former Chelsea midfielder and Germany icon Michael Ballack is optimistic about his compatriot’s arrival at Stamford Bridge.

The 40-year-old thinks he is a talented player but will have to live up to the expectations of the fans and adapt to the demands of the Premier League.

In an interview, Ballack also talked about how Chelsea’s attempt to defend their title won’t be easy, more so with focus on the Champions League in the 2017-18 season.

Meanwhile, Ballack also revealed that James Rodriguez’s move to Bayern Munich from Real Madrid came as a surprise for him but might well serve as a fresh start for the Colombian.
