Sir Alex Ferguson took Cristiano Ronaldo to Old Trafford and the pair enjoyed a hugely successful time together at Manchester United before the latter departed for Real Madrid.

They obviously remain close and as Ferguson embraced his former protege in Paris he cut a proud figure.

The footage was soon uploaded to the internet and had tongues wagging and fingers typing instantly.
