Midfielder Scott McTominay and Watford centre forward Troy Deeney have backed Odion Ighalo to prove a success at Manchester United.

Ighalo completed a deadline day loan move to Manchester United from the Chinese Super League with the Nigerian striker becoming the second signing in the window for the club.

Ighalo, who previously plied his trade in the Premier League with Watford, is a self-confessed Manchester United fan. Man United have suffered from a lack of goals up front in the ongoing campaign with Marcus Rashford’s long-term injury adding to their crisis.

Ighalo was the top scorer in the 2019 AFCON (African Cup of Nations) with five goals and one assist for Nigeria in the competition.

See what McTominay and Ighalo’s former team-mate Deeney had to say about his Man United move in the video posted above.
