Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has shot down rumours of a potential Joao Cancelo exit in the January transfer window.

The Portuguese right-back arrived at the club in the summer from Juventus, on the back of a big money move which saw Danilo go the other way.

However, the 25-year-old has struggled for game time at the Etihad with Kyle Walked remaining Guardiola’s first choice at right-back.

So far in the season, Cancelo has made just six appearances in the Premier League while he has featured more prominently in the UEFA Champions League. His lack of minutes has led rise to speculation that he could be on his way out in January with Valencia and Bayern Munich mentioned as possible destinations.

See what Guardiola had to say about those reports in the video posted above.
