Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was especially disappointed with Manchester United’s failure to hold on to the ball as they lost to lowly Newcastle United in the Premier League on Sunday.

The Red Devils boss says his players treated the ball ‘like a hot potato’ in the first half.

“It seemed like we couldn’t control it [the ball], seemed like it was a hot potato and it was bouncing off our feet,” he said after the game.

“We don’t create enough chances to deserve to win a game of football.”

The result left United languishing just two points above the relegation zone going into the international break.
