WATCH: Jurgen Klopp eases fears over extent of Mohamed Salah’s head injury

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp eased fears over the extent of Mohamed Salah’s head injury after the Egyptian exited in the second-half of his side’s 3-2 win over Newcastle United.

Divock Origi’s header at an 86th-minute free kick glanced off the top of Newcastle defender Jamaal Lascelles’ head and into the net as Liverpool collected an eighth consecutive league win, which put the team on 94 points, two clear of Manchester City.

That points total would have won the Premier League in all but two seasons since its inaugural year in 1992-93.

“When we came in he was sitting in the dressing room and watching the game … He was then fine but of course we have to wait,” said Klopp about Mohamed Salah who suffered a heavy knock to the head and was taken off.
