With the uncertainty over Arsene Wenger’s future at the Emirates now done with the Frenchman having signed a new two-year deal at the end of last season, Arsenal can now concentrate on winning the Premier League, according to former Arsenal midfielder Gilberto Silva.

Arsenal finished fifth in the 2016-17 season, and now that Wenger’s contract has been extended by two more years, Silva feels the team can now get together and work towards a common goal – winning the title.

In an interview at the Star Sixes, Silva also praised the German international Jens Lehmann’s appointment to the Arsenal coaching staff.

Lehmann will be working alongside Steve Bould and Boro Primorac on first team matters.

Meanwhile, Silva also heaped praises on Manchester City forward Gabriel Jesus, claiming that he could take the Premier League by storm after showing glimpses of his ability last season.
