Former Manchester United and Everton defender, Phil Neville feels the acquisition of Wayne Rooney and other new signings in the ongoing transfer window bodes well for Ronald Koeman’s side.

Despite selling their main striker Romelu Lukaku to United, Neville believes the club have so far done the best business in the transfer window.

Speaking in an interview, Neville also praised Rooney, explaining how the England international’s hunger for more trophies has taken him to his former club.

With all these big transfers taking place prior to the start of the Premier League Neville thinks the clubs in Manchester will be the biggest threat to the defending champions, Chelsea.

Meanwhile, Neville also heaped praise on Michael Carrick claiming he is the ideal captain for United as he takes over the armband from Rooney.
