Rio Ferdinand returned to Carrington this week to shoot an advert but it was his rousing speech to the Manchester United Under-15s that was the highlight of his trip.

The former United centre-back posted a video on his YouTube channel of his return to the training ground which features time spent with the likes of Paul Pogba, Jesse Lingard and Ashley Young.

At the end of the video though, Ferdinand takes a moment to speak to the Under-15 team that was recently trashed 9-0 by their Manchester City counterparts.

The Englishman drew wisdom from his experience of losing 6-1 to their cross-town rivals at Old Trafford back in 2011, urging the youngsters to use the embarrassment and bounce back.
