The Germany international, who visited the Arsenal Soccer School at the Sevens Stadium in Dubai on Monday night, wants to concentrate on his international commitments in France this summer rather than discuss extending his Gunners contract.

“I still have two years left on my contract with Arsenal and we will be in talks with the club and see what happens in the future,” Ozil, who finished the season as the Premier League’s top assist-maker with 19, said.

“But as I said I’m concentrating on playing in the Euros for Germany in France which is very important for me and my team. After the World Cup and later on I will see what I’m going to do at Arsenal.”

Ozil also admitted that he felt Arsenal’s poor results against so called smaller sides cost the north London club the chance of winning the title, but he refused to be drawn on the future of Arsene Wenger.

Pick up a copy of Tuesday’s Sport360 for the full interview with the 27-year-old.
