Nick Kyrgios ‘in control from the start’ as he beats Tomas Berdych to reach Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships last four

Nick Kyrgios put a bout of sickness behind him to advance through to the semi-finals of the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships after a convincing 6-4 6-4 victory over Tomas Berdych – the second time he has edged the Czech in as many tournaments.

The Australian star revealed he felt in control of the match from the get-go and could face Stan Wawrinka in the semi-finals of the competition on Friday, if the Swiss progresses through his last eight clash.

The pair were involved in an on-court and locker room exchange last year but Krygios admits both players have got on better since having played together on the same team during last year’s IPTL tournament.
