Ukrainian star Elina Svitolina booked her spot in the last four of the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships with a 6-4 1-6 6-2 victory over Coco Vandeweghe.

Reacting to her win, the 21-year-old was happy she found a route back into the match after losing the opening set and revealed she was pleased with her composure to take the third in convincing style, after the loss of the first two games.

“I needed to go through a tough time and a tough opponent today,” the 2015 French Open quarter-finalist, who is coached by seven-time Grand Slam champion Justine Henin, told the media.
