Former world No1 and star attraction of the tournament, Tiger Woods has withdrawn from the Dubai Desert Classic Friday with back spasms.

The 14-time major champion shot a five-over par 77 in Thursday’s first round and seemed uncomfortable on the golf course, but insisted he wasn’t feeling any back pain.
