The MCL coach/player talks about the challenging aspects of the course and why he thinks Rory McIlroy will retain his title.

It’s a course that I’ve played quite a few times so you get a feeling of what they’re trying to do,” he told Sport360.com. “It’s nice to see the angles that you should approach the pin from.”

The former England captain was particularly impressed with the close proximity between fans and the stars on show at Emirates Golf Club.

“You can get right next to them on the tee and the green,” he said. “Out of all the events I have been to this is one of the best.”
