Going into the ICC World T20 in 2007, India were one team that hadn’t quite taken to the shortest format of the game yet. They had, in fact, played just one T20 international before the tournament began.

If you had to pinpoint one incident that changed the perception of T20 cricket in India, then it would most likely be the moment Yuvraj Singh hit six sixes in an over off Stuart Broad at Durban.

A country which did not know much about the format was suddenly in love with it. One week later, India would go on to win the first-ever World T20 and there has been no looking back since.

T20 is arguably the most popular format of the game in the country now, with the Indian Premier League [IPL] a massive hit – bringing a generation of new fans to the game.

And it all started with Yuvraj’s six sixes, which you can relive in all their glory above.

Share with us your birthday wishes for Yuvraj and favourite moments of the all-rounder’s career by commenting below, using #360fans on Twitter or getting in touch via Facebook.
