Kris Srikkanth was one of India’s most flamboyant batsmen during his playing days.

During a match against Australia in 1985, the right-handed opening batsman is seen knocking off a bail while completing the swing of his bat.

Commentator Bill Lawry realises it immediately, but the Australian players and the on-field umpires fail to see what happened and Srikkanth survives at the crease.

One of India’s most attacking batsmen, Srikkanth had a somewhat underwhelming career as an international cricketer. In Tests, he scored 2062 runs at an average of 29.88 while he managed 4091 runs at an average of 29.01 in ODIs.
