Former England batsman Marcus Trescothick named his all-time cricketing XI in a Lord’s Cricket Ground video, including the likes of Sachin Tendulkar and Wasim Akram featuring in his team.

Trescothick was one of England’s most reliable batsmen during his international career, notching up 5,825 Test runs at an average of 43.79, while scoring 4,335 runs at 37.37 and a strike-rate of over 85 in ODIs.

Although it is supposed to be an all-time XI, most cricketers who have gone through this exercise have named players who they have seen play at the international level. Trescothick is no different with his entire side made up of players whom he has played with or against.

The 40-year-old has selected two former England team-mates in Alastair Cook and James Anderson. Australia’s dominance in the era when Trescothick played international cricket is shown as he has picked as many as four former Australian cricketers with Ricky Ponting as captain.
