WATCH – Mitchell Johnson’s thunderbolts from the first Test of Ashes 2013/14

Mitchell Johnson was often mocked by English fans for his below-par performances against them in Test cricket. Johnson, though, would have his own say during the 2013/14 Ashes.

During the first Test at the Gabba, Johnson unleashed some terrifying bowling which saw him pick up nine wickets in the match. The stats, though, don’t tell you the entire story here.

Johnson’s short-pitched tactic would scar the English batsmen for the rest of the tour as the Australians regained the Ashes with a 5-0 series whitewash.

Johnson, who was named the Man of the Match in the first Test, would go on to be named the Man of the Series as well.
