The future is certainly bright for Yorkshire with their youngsters delivering with the ball as the defending champions retained their Emirates Airline Twenty20 title.

Their 13-run victory over rivals Lancashire was courtesy of a superb bowling performance from Karl Carver, Will Rhodes and James Wainman, who all took two wickets in Friday’s final in Dubai.

The day was a roaring success in more than one sense. This year there was action the whole way around the ground with a kid’s entertainment zone, brunch, temporary stands and plenty of loudspeakers to ensure the atmostsphere was electric from start to finish.

A healthy crowd of around 500 spectators turned up to cheer their teams on and the players responded by producing a breathtaking display of Twenty20 cricket.
