Former UFC lightweight and welterweight champion BJ Penn finally makes his long-awaited return to the Octagon on Sunday night, when he will face Yair Rodriguez.

Penn has not fought in the UFC since July 2014, but was due to return last year before a suspension and then injury delayed his comeback. Penn has not won a UFC fight since 2010.

Rodriguez was the winner of The Ultimate Fighter: Latin America in 2014, and currently holds a 9-1-0 record in the UFC.

It’s a clash of old-school vs new-school, as Penn, a living UFC legend, will look to subdue one of the UFC’s hottest up-and-coming prospects.

This is the second UFC event ever being hosted in Phoenix.
