Rory McIlroy pleased with putting on opening day of 2016 Abu Dhabi Championship

World No.3 Rory McIlroy was pleased with his opening round performance at the 2016 Abu Dhabi Championship as he shot a six under to be tied in third place heading into day two.

It was the first time the 26-year-old has competed on the golf course since winning the ‘Dubai Double’ in November in the UAE and he admitted he relished playing with fellow top stars Jordan Spieth and Rickie Fowler.
