#360AM: March 8 – Maria Sharapova admits to failing a drugs test at Australian Open

This morning, Maria Sharapova has held a press conference in Los Angeles to admit that she failed an anti-doping test during the 2016 Australian Open.

The former world number one was tested on the day she lost to Serena Williams. Sharapova says she has been taking Meldonium since 2006 for health reasons but failed to spot it was now on the banned list.

Peyton Manning has announced his retirement from NFL at the age of 39 and leaves the sport a legend.

The Bronco will retire as the NFL’s all-time leader in passing touchdowns (539), passing yards (71,940) and quarterback regular-season wins (186, tied with Brett Favre).

The World T20 gets underway today with the qualifying rounds taking place. Proceedings begin with Zimbabwe taking on Hong Kong and Scotland facing Afghanistan.

The Super 10 phase begins on March 15.
