This morning, Stan Wawrinka is celebrating after claiming a two-set victory over Marcos Baghdatis in the men’s final of the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships.

The Swiss world number four saved five set points in the second set tie-break which he eventually won meaning he has won the last nine finals he has played on the ATP Tour.

In Cricket, India beat Pakistan by 5 wickets in the Asia Cup last night despite their top-order collapse.

Pakistan recorded their lowest ever T20 total with just 83 in 17.3 overs and whilst India didn’t start well, they had enough to easily reach their target.

Real Madrid have lost more ground on Barcelona in the La Liga title chase as their Madrid rivals, Atletico beat them 1-0. Cristiano Ronaldo was not a happy man, claiming that if his team mates played at the same level as him, they would be top of the league.

In English football, Leicester City grabbed a late goal to beat Norwich 1-0 and send themselves five points clear at the top of the Premier League.
